T-Shirts and hats - a straw pollCan one ever have enough silk-screened T’s or embroidered hats? I think not. I’d like to order a shirt that sports Gonzo’s design, but need to get an idea of member interest before spending the money. Please send me a note with a simple ‘yes and your preferred size’ or a ‘no-not interested’ in the subject line. As always, feel free to send comments too . These sample screens came from an online vendor and the prices are probably close to what the costs are actually going to be (i.e. $15 for a Hanes Beefy-T or $28 for a 50UV micro fiber sports shirt). As for the hat, I’m thinking embroidered with the bolt logo and would like to get member input on this item as well as price you’d be willing to pay to get one. I’ll need to do a little more research on embroidered hat vendors to find a suitable supplier. awaiting your comments, Pat Morris

Member Recruiting…The Fun Never EndsRecruiting is an ongoing and ever present process for FLF. Remind your friends and mention at work, church, the bowling alley, etc. that guests are always welcome at FLF. Our only two demo flights on 4/1 were a coworker of mine and a friend of his. He had e-mailed me at the office and asked if I knew where he could go soaring because he had heard I knew of a club for the sport from another coworker (who had seen the Fox7 story). I work at a company of 450 employees and after a little research have found that there are about a half dozen private pilots who have gotten out of the activity for one reason or another - these are prime candidates for my recruiting efforts. There will soon be a posting on the my company’s intranet with FLF demo day details and a personal invitation to be my guest out at the field. If you would like a flyer of FLF demo day info ready for printing and posting on your company’s cork-board (electronic or actual) send me an e-mail and I’ll send it back your way. See you at the field, Pat
